Sometimes I Feel Like a Rudderless Child...

Today was a beautiful day with blue skies and white billowy clouds; but with gusty winds out of the WNW it was unfortunate that my rudder cable decided to break.  I bought the boat used from Charles River Canoe and Kayak in Boston, so we speculate that it was previously used in salt water judging by the cable wire corrosion.  Happily it broke at a convenient time, with friends to assist and a comrade with cable-fixing skills.  Life is good.

Life would be even better if there were places for kayakers to park. :)

There are always treasures to be found on the beach - in this case a soft ball!
